Not Too Late to Support ECCO

From/Reply-To: Alexandra Pineros Shields

In this perilous moment, when our democracy is being dismantled, when our elected officials champion policies that exclude and exploit the poor, when racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-semitism are on the rise, what does prophetic leadership look like?

It looks like hundreds of volunteers successfully collecting 7,395 signatures to pass a $15 minimum wage and paid leave.

It looks like fighting to keep Salem a Sanctuary City, and winning!

It looks like securing commitments from the Lynn Police Department to work with us on implicit bias training and police diversity.

It looks like organizing hundreds of calls and meetings with legislators about statewide criminal justice reform, which led to the passage of powerful bills in both the State house and Senate.

The social issues of our time can be overwhelming, but together, with your support, we can and are transforming our communities.

With your help, ECCO’s network of 37 congregations will work in 2018 to protect every immigrant family in our midst, pass landmark criminal justice reform, and win a $15 minimum wage for all workers.  I invite you to partner with ECCO to realize our vision of racial and economic justice by giving a meaningful donation.  Together, we can build a Beloved Community that honors the humanity of every person.
